The outgoing Kumi University executive director, Heong Lyu, has commended the Universal Primary Education (UPE) programme initiated by President Yoweri Museveni.

The outgoing Kumi University executive director, Heong Lyu, has commended the Universal Primary Education (UPE) programme initiated by President Yoweri Museveni.
Lyu, who is also the founder of the university, said the UPE programme should be adopted worldwide.
He said this at a farewell party held at the Green Top Hotel, Kumi on Tuesday.
Lyu said the country has been peaceful under the Movement government.
He urged Ugandans to support saving schemes like UWESO and Women Trust Finance Bank.
