Bunyoro activist dead

KAMPALA — Bunyoro Kingdom activist, Mzee Joseph Kazairwe, has died. Kazairwe, 82, the chairman of the Bunyoro-Mubende Committee, a pressure group which fought for the return of the lost counties of Bunyoro from Buganda, died yesterday at Nsambya Hospital. He hit headlines during the controversial Kibaale LC5 elections when he led protests that led to the removal of LC5 chairman-elect Fred Ruremera, a Mukiga.
