THE Public Service Commission (PSC) is partly to blame for the soaring unemployment in the country, reports John Thawite.

University graduates in Kasese have said many graduates were loitering the streets partly because the PSC insists on experience as one of the employment pre-conditions.

The graduates, from Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono, said this at a joint graduation party at Club Thirties, overlooking Kasese town.

“If there was a shop selling this thing called experience, then we would buy it,” they said in a report read for them by their chairman, Elphaz Muhindi.

They, however, hailed the Movement Government for liberalising the economy saying this had created access to many educational opportunities.

The graduates appealed to Kasese district local government to employ them.
