MULTI-TALENTED Patrick Ochan and Ronald Ssemanda could be left out of the national under-17 cricket squad to take part in the East Africa tournament in Nairobi December 13-22.

The duo are currently participating in the East Africa U-18 tennis circuit that ends this Saturday.
They have not had an opportunity to train with the cricket team, and their splendid performance in tennis could force them out.

“The boys are playing so well and could hit the mark, this is their chance anyway to prove their credentials,” national tennis coach John Oduke said.

The cricket U-17 squad leaves for Kenya on Friday.
“I think we need to come to a compromise here with the tennis organisers, otherwise we (UCA) can not miss out both of the youngsters on the squad,” coach Bashir Ansasira said yesterday.

Another multi-talented star, 13-year old Duncan Mugabe opted to concentrate on cricket after failing to make the U-18 tennis team.
