Teachers complain
KABAROLE – Teachers in the district have expressed concern about the long hours of waiting they are subjected to when queuing to draw their salaries from banks. The teachers raised the complaint during a recent meeting with the district chairperson, Augustine Kayonga.

Fight graft, says bishop
KASESE — The bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese, Nathan Kyamanywa, has challenged Ugandans to fight corruption. He was preaching at St. Paul’s Cathedral recently. “All of us concerned Ugandans who believe in the salvation of Jesus Christ must fight corruption,” he said.

Safe water for Kabarole
KABAROLE — The district leadership has plans to ensure that 100% of the population get clean water by 2006. The district chairperson, Augustine Kayonga, said this recently during the launch of the second phase of the gravity water flow scheme for Buheesi sub-county.

Night guard murdered
KASESE — A Securico night guard was murdered following an incident in which over 70 people survived when their bus rammed into an elephant in Queen Elizabeth National Park. James Friday was killed recently by the thugs at a Bell Beer depot which he was guarding.
