FUFA technical director Gunter Zittel has been assigned to spot soccer talented players (men and women) in preparation for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

The selection will be centred in the Coca Cola Post Primary Schools football championship that kicks off next month at district levels. The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) technical committee is also working out a plan in which the women team will be selected. National Council of Sports (NCS) assistant secretary John Odyek said Zittel will strictly select Under-20 players expected to mature for the U-23 by 2004. Odyek said that the selected players before and during the national Coca Cola finals set for May in Kabale are planned to enter camp thereafter. r PEPSI Blue went on top of KKL totos soccer league whipping Shell Yellow 3-0 on Tuesday at the Acorns International Pre-School in Kampala. Pepsi was hoisted top with goals from Jaimin Shah, Timothy Arinaitwe and Karmali Inayat. Pepsi now has seven points three more than second placed Shell Red after their 2-0 victory over Mirinda Orange.
