MPs Mourn Colleague Kerwegi

MEMBERS of Parliament (MPs) yesterday paid tribute to Apac woman MP, Rosemary Kerwegi, who died last week at Kampala International Hospital.

By Vision Reporters MEMBERS of Parliament (MPs) yesterday paid tribute to Apac woman MP, Rosemary Kerwegi, who died last week at Kampala International Hospital. The motion to pay tribute to Kerwegi was moved by the minister of State in the Vice- President's office and Lira district woman MP, Mrs. Betty Okwir. Okwir said Kerwegi was born in 1951 was and third born in a family of 29. She said Kerwegi was "an able, well-motivated and hard working representative of the Apac women." Kerwegi was a member of the parliamentary committees of appointments and social services. MPs unanimously endorsed Okwir's proposal to "collectively convey condolences to Kerwegi's kith and kin."
