TWELVE candidates were by 3.00p.m. yesterday nominated in the seven constituencies of Mukono district.

By Nicholas Kajoba TWELVE candidates were by 3.00p.m. yesterday nominated in the seven constituencies of Mukono district. The incumbent MP for Mukono south and also Minister of Gender, Hajjati Janati Mukwaya, was nominated in the early hours of the day amidst cheers by her supporters. Mr. Godfrey Ddamulira, an aspirant for Mukono South, was nominated around mid-day. The exercise was conducted by the Assistant Returning Officer, Juma Kigongo, at Mukono community centre hall. In Mukono North constituency, Rev. Peter Bakaluba Mukasa and the incumbent MP, Mukasa Kintu, were nominated in the afternoon. In Buikwe South, Harris Mukasa and Dr. Lulume Bayiga were also declared candidates. In Buikwe, only Muhamed Nsumba had been nominated by 3.00p.m. Henry Rugoma and Mrs. Saiti Kagoya were nominated in Buikwe North. Aliwali Ntege and Joseph Mugambe were nominated for Nakifuma. The Assistant Returning Officer Eddie Mwanje warned the candidates against abusive language. Ends
