By Fred Nangoli MASAKA based Binyonyi under-14 player, Mike Mutyaba has won himself a sponsorship package in school from City Tyres for emerging the best player in the just concluded City Tyres under-14 league. The left winger who was described by Friends of Football (FOF) boss Robert Aloro as an all time barefooted defender and striker won himself school fees for a year from City Tyres. This followed a pledge from City Tyres' director Abudulai Ahammed that the Kampala tyre firm was to sponsor whoever would emerge best in the league. Mutyaba was recognised for his excellent moves and talents in the league. Aloro, yesterday said the upcountry player was outstanding even without football boots. "We recognised him for his excellent attacking, defensive and discipline on the pitch," said the FOF boss. Mutyaba featured prominently making Binyonyi become the first upcountry under-14 team to qualify for the quarter finals of the just concluded meet. Binyonyi was eliminated at the quarterfinals following their 4-0 loss to Red Stars from Jinja. The tournament which saw Hat-trick retain the title for the second year running was sponsored by City Tyres as chief sponsors while Family Planning Association of Uganda (FPAU) were co-sponsors.
