By Florence Nakaayi A Sugar-mummy of Ntinda was last week conned of sh1m by her boyfriend after being convinced to donate it to the "Ghost Stone'' in Mukono. Harriet had a 22-year old boyfriend for about three months. Muso made the deal with his friends after realising that his lover had got a loan from some credit scheme. Muso told her that once she put the sh1m in the basket, the 'Ghost Stone' would double it to sh2m. That evening, his friends visited them and narrated the story of the Ghost Stone and its ability to double profits and blessings. Harriet could not see through their trick at all. The following day, Muso took his lover to Mukono and told her to put the money in the basket and also ask for everything that she wanted. Confidently, she asked for 'heaven and earth' as she knelt before the Ghost Stone. She even prayed for a wedding with Muso. Muso also convinced her that before sunset the following day, she would have received the sh2m. He told her that immediately she mentioned her name, she would receive the money. But this time she had to go alone, she was told. Unfortunately, when she went back, and repeatedly did as she had been told, there was neither a reply nor any money in the basket. Finally, Harriet left the place puzzled and disappointed. On her way home, she was shocked when the villagers told her that the 'Stone' never gave out money to anyone. The poor woman should have remembered the old saying that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Not only did she lose her man but she has to pay for the money also. Ends
