By Samson Opus UGANDA Breweries has handed 12 sets of uniform for clubs in the 2001 Bell Lager rugby league. The uniforms worth sh15m which include jerseys, shorts, and socks were handed over Thursday by Bell Lager marketing manager Baker Magunda to Uganda Rugby Football Union (URFU) president Paul Sigombe. The equipment, that also included another set of uniform for the national squad, was handed over at Kyandondo Rugby ground in Lugogo. The package is part of the sh25m commitment by the brewers for the Bell Lager league and the Uganda knockout cup. Uganda Breweries has been sponsoring rugby for the fifth year under their Bell Lager brand. Sigombe who pledged to work harder for more development of the game thanked the sponsors for the timely offer in the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers. The KRFU who also named the squad that will take on Kenya in today's international build-up predicted good results. "I am sure of 100% victory. Morale is high and the boys are rearing to go," Sigombe predicted of the match that precedes World Cup qualifier against Zambia on August 11 in Kampala.
