TOP volleyball action is expected at Lugogo Indoor stadium today as the fifth edition of the KAVC Founders Memorial International open rolls off.

By Peter Ekarot TOP volleyball action is expected at Lugogo Indoor stadium today as the fifth edition of the KAVC Founders Memorial International open rolls off. Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club will field four teams, KCC, Old Kampala Deaf School, Nkumba University, Trinity College-Nabbingo, Club 61, Namagunga's VCM, Nalinya Lwantale, Stella Maris college and Kumi Rangers are the local teams. ECAVCO club champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) led the foreign teams to Kampala. Others were Kakamega Prison, NCBD, Mukumu Girls, and Nzoia from Kenya. APR, Amasata, Kigali VC, Butare University from Rwanda. Young VC based in Goma, DRC was expected late at night plus Amital and Bujumbura University from Burundi. Nile Breweries under Nile Special flagship brand, Coca-Cola, MTN, NCS and Dott Services are the tourney sponsors. MP Francis Babu will be the chief guest while State minister Henry Oryem Okello and son to Ex-president Gen. Tito Okello presides over tomorrow's finals. KAVC chairman Robert Masaba said: "We are set for thrills and spills at Lugogo." ends
