SIR—I was apalled to read in Saturday’s New Vision that Maj-Gen Salim Saleh smoked in a church where he was
invited as guest of honour.
If so, then it shows the kind of
leaders we have. I wonder why the clergy present did not tell him off. I know that if it had been in a mosque, an uproar would have been the result.
I wonder what message we are giving to the young people of this country.
