Defilement up in Kamuli

DEFILEMENT cases in Kamuli district are reportedly on the increase, reports Esther Mukyala. The New Vision has learnt that Kamuli police have arrested four suspected defilers since the beginning of August. The district OC/CID, Mr Habib Lagol, confirmed the matter when contacted. He identified the suspects as Yaya, Mwaza, Isabirye and J. Isabirye. Lagol told The New Vision that the suspects were mature people who defile girls between the ages of 14-17. He said the suspects were charged in court. He said the Police and the community liaison officer would sensitise the community on defilement and other community related issues.
