By Alfred Wasike INTERNATIONAL Police (Interpol) is investigating the status of a Pakistani travel agency (name withheld) over six Pakistanis and a Zambian netted by Ugandan security. The group was arrested at Entebbe International airport and Kampala with forged passports and visas. Meanwhile, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is studying the files of the seven suspects being interrogated by the Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce on suspicion that they are linked to the alleged terror network headed by Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden is the prime suspect in the September 11 terror attacks on the US. Interpol is investigating the status of that company in Islamabad which booked for the travel of the suspects,” Police spokesperson, Asumani Mugenyi told The New Vision on Thursday. The six Pakistanis are Khan Imtaz, Slaman Muhamoud Khan, Mumtax Ahmed Khan, M. Sarwar, Eissa Khan and Maqdol Ahmad Malik. The Zambian is Mukanga Murenga. “They claimed to be coming here for business, even though it was clear the Pakistanis could not speak English. We also found they were moving around in a dubious manner making strange connections. They wanted to connect to Germany, but why were they passing from Pakistan to Burundi, to Rwanda and to Uganda?” Mugenyi asked. He added, “When we cross-checked (we found) there is a company in Pakistan that they used to get these travel documents and which we suspect to be connected to these terrorist acts (of bin Laden).
