The secretary BFC, Luyimbazi Mugalu presided over the draws yesterday at Nakivubo Stadium. He announced he is yet to get a sponsor for the tournament. "I have looked for sponsors but in vain, now the only chance is with Pepsi Cola, who have shown interest," Luyimbazi said. Mengo State Minister for Sports, Jimmy Ssemugabi and Clans team leaders attended the draw. The matches kick off at Nakivubo before the Buganda King, Muwenda Mutebi. The final will be played on February 3, 2001. This time Clans will also compete in athletics on the opening day and the finals, with each clan entering four athletes. Lugave, the defending champions, will join the competition at the quarter-final stage. The winner gets a bull and shield. Draws are as follows: Mbwa vs Mpindi, Nakisinge vs Njaza, Nkima vs Kasimba, first round starts with Kiwere vs Ndiga, Nsuma vs Ngaali, Mbuzi vs Ngo, Mpewo vs Musu, Nkerebwe vs Mpologoma, Nte vs Ngabi, Balangira vs Nyonyi, Nvuma vs Mutima, Nkima/ Kasimba vs Mamba, Ngeye vs Nsenene, Butiko vs Nakisinge/ Njaza, Njovu vs Ndiisa, Ngonge vs Mbogo and Nvubu vs Mbwa/ Mpindi. KAMPALA Central Football Association (KCFA) has organised a beginners football referees course to start this month in Kampala. Registration for the course December 18-23 has already started, with all participants expected to pay Sh10,000 to Ben Yiga Matovu at the football referee's office at Nakivubo Stadium. Ends.
