By Peter Ekarot UGANDA Women Football Association (UWFA) is looking for a sponsor for a 14-team national league for 2001 season. National team manager Mariam Nsumba and coach Paul Ssali told Sunday Vision separately yesterday that the December 22 women's gala at Nakivubo stadium would help streamline how the league would be coordinated countrywide. "We are trying to find a sponsor for the women's soccer league. We have talent, but lack a back-up to set everything rolling," Nsumba said. Ssali said: "We need sh1m for the December 22 women's soccer gala. FUFA should also come in and help, because part of the US $250,000 FIFA development grant was approved after inclusion of women soccer." The teams ready for the national league and galas are Kampala City Star, Kampala Women, Kampala United, Entebbe, She-Rock, Mityana, Bombo SSS, Old Kampala SSS, Wobulenzi, Lugazi, Mbale, Napier-Jinja, Musaba-Kakiri and Kituntu-Nkozi. She Kobs participated in the maiden Africa women's championship last November. Ends.
