IF the trio of the Enabu brothers – Ivan, Jimmy and Emmanuel – make it to the men’s national basketball team today, they will be the first set ever to achieve the feat.

“We are naming the team tomorrow (today) at a press conference,” stated Rev. Milton Tweheyo, the team manager.

The national team is preparing for the Zone V Africa Nations Cup qualifiers in Kigali, Rwanda starting February 7-12.

Ivan, who made his national team debut at the East and Central Africa regional championship in 2005 in Kampala, was named the event’s Most Valuable Player.

Asked about the sensational point guard, assistant coach Timothy Odeke said: “He (Ivan) is a good ball handler and an extremely fast player.”

Odeke further explained that Jimmy has extraordinary athleticism and is a great shooter while Emmanuel possesses a combination of both his brothers’ abilities in addition to great defence and a good passer.

While Jimmy and Emmanuel are yet to make international debuts, they played central roles for their teams last season, UCU Canons and Power respectively.
