THE biting financial crisis has forced Government to keep away from supporting the national teams’ preparation for the All Africa Games due in Maputo, Mozambique starting September 3.
THE biting financial crisis has forced Government to keep away from supporting the national teams’ preparation for the All Africa Games due in Maputo, Mozambique starting September 3.
The federations drew a training budget of sh659m, but the head of the preparatory committee Dan Tamwesigire, during a meeting with the federation heads recently, made it clear that Government will only facilitate the team’s travel.
“We will pay their air tickets and meet their upkeep and we are working on the allowances. Federations should prepare the athletes,†said Tamwesigire.
