PROLINE FC has started the search for a new coach following Mujib Kasule’s exit to concentrate on FUFA duties.

Kasule, also a Proline director has held the job since the club joined the Uganda Super League in the 2008/9 season.

Kasule threw in the towel after his team’s 2-1 win over his mentor club KCC FC at Nakivubo last Friday. Kasule denied the threats by Express FC fans at Wankulukuku early last week had prompted his resignation.

The Red Eagles fans attacked Kasule after their goalless draw on December 20 arguing that as a FUFA executive and coach, he was bound to compromise match officials especially in games that involved his club.

“I have not been under any pressure. It’s because of the job I got at FUFA office as vice president in charge of the USLL that would compromise my position as coach of a participating club. I was only waiting to conclude the first round,” Kasule said.
