ANTI-Riot Police have been heavily deployed around the old Taxi Park following clashes between a group of drivers protesting  payment of their dues to Uganda Taxi Operators and Drivers Association (UTODA).

The drivers under a pressure group Drivers and Conductors Association DACA have vowed not to pay the daily dues to UTODA insisting that their contract expired on Monday 31st October 2011.

The chaos started at 2 PM when a group of drivers decided to close the two entries along Ben Kiwanuka Street blocking all Taxies from entering the old Taxi Park which has prompted   UTODA guides to fight back.
