THE late Prince of Ankole, John Barigye will be buried this Sunday at Nkokonjeru Royal Burial Grounds in Mbarara district.
His remains, according to an official announcement by the kingdom Prime Minister, William Katatumba, will arrive in Uganda from Nairobi, Kenya Thursday this week.
At 70, Prince Barigye died last Friday evening at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi where he had been admitted with kidney problems.
Arrangements for the burial of the fallen royal leader are underway. A funeral service will be held at Namirembe Cathedral Friday morning after which the casket will be transported to his birthplace in Mbarara district for public viewing until Sunday, when he will be laid to rest.
