PONSIANO Lwakataka’s move to outsmart national championship leader Susan ‘Super Lady’ Muwonge by scoring points in the Kobil Rally of Tanzania turned to be a wasted effort as the Ugandan was sidelined by mechanical failure on Saturday.

Lwakataka who had got off to a promising start by finishing fifth in the super special stage on Friday suffered massive disappointment the next day when his Subaru N8 developed mechanical problems that forced him out of the race.

The Ugandan who spent sh16.5m that was raised from supporters and fellow drivers will next month go into the decisive race---the Independence Rally, 25 points behind Muwonge.
