Kampala Road is supposed to showcase the capital city

Sep 22, 2011

EDITOR: The present state of Kampala Road speaks volumes about how far the city has sunk. The road is supposed to showcase our capital city and should set the standard.

Apart from those at Diamond Trust, the road has no decent pavements to talk of! The public toilets are in need of rehabilitation. Besides, they are not enough.

We seem to have a very poor toilet culture in this country. When was the last time the buildings along kampala Road get a fresh coat of paint? Some of the structures put up are an eye sore. Where are our city planners? Kampala is not some upcountry town; it is the capital city of Uganda. Let us transform it into something we can all be proud of.
