We are ready to partner with Ankunda
Editor – You recently run a letter from Oscar Ankunda, who was looking for chilli out growers to partner with. We have land in excess of 15,000square metres, with a ready water source. The land is only 8km from Kampala city.
Peter Waswa

Editor – I am responding to a recent letter where Oscar Ankunda was looking for chilli out growers for possible partnership. I am a chilli farmer located in Kikoma, Kyabazaala near Kayunga Kyaggwe. I have 22 acres of land with an irrigation system near a swamp and a 10,000 litre water tank. I have a cayenne bed that can cover six acres. I started planting last week. I have more land. Please call me as soon as possible.
Sarah Nalunga

Editor – I would like to partner with Ankunda in chilli growing. My farm is 11 kilometres from Busunju town. I can devote five acres to chilli growing.
But I have 20 acres already ploughed. There are tractors on site, so more acres can be ploughed at short notice.
Stephen Tusimiire

Editor’s note:
We have been overwhelmed by the number of farmers who have contacted us asking for Ankunda’s contacts, so that they can form a partnership and grow chilli.
We could not run all of them due to lack of space. However, your contacts have been forwarded to Ankunda, who will contact you in due course.

Can I get the contact of the Uganda Mushroom Association?
Editor – Please send me the contact for the Uganda Mushroom Association and thank you so much for enlightening us. I do not miss Tuesday New Vision because of Harvest Money.

Give us information on tree planting
Editor - I appreciate what New Vision in general and Harvest Money in particular are doing. Thank you for helping us realise that we can make a lot of money in agriculture.
However, I have been reading your articles for a full year now, and I have noticed that you do not give much information on tree planting. As you are aware, the planting of pine and eucalyptus trees is at the moment in high gear in different parts of Uganda. I am kindly requesting you to run profiles of successful tree planters or give us advice on how to go about tree planting.
Francis Musinguzi

Editor’s Note:
Harvest Money is actually very interested in tree planting, and we have run several profiles of successful tree farmers. We have also been giving tips on successful tree farming as well as agro-forestry.

Can we get in touch with the IMO pig rearing researchers?
Editor – I read with a lot of interest the article about the IMO system of pig rearing which appeared in the New Vision of September 20. Can you please get me the telephone contacts of Dr. Kawule and Dr. Kirigwajjo so that I can get more information from them about IMO system of pig rearing.
Thank you so much.
Daniel Rukemanganizi

Editor – I read with interest the article titled ‘The magic of an odorless pig sty’. How does one get in touch with these doctors?
