This page gives you information on how we handle any user information we collect. It applies to all the websites that are owned by the New Vision.
Privacy Policy
We do not rent, sell or in any way disclose any user identifiable information to any third parties without the express consent of the user. Note that accepting the use of some services, e.g. SMS news updates, presupposes that you give permission to share your information, in as far as is necessary for the delivery of that particular service, with third parties.
Note also that we must comply with court orders requiring us to release user identifiable information, if so required, in any and all ways required by the said court order.
We use cookies to keep some information about the user on their own computer. This information is necessary for the use of some of our services. It is not harmful in any way to your computer.

While we reserve the right to change any or all of the items in this privacy policy without notice to the user, we shall endeavour to notify our users by placing the new privay policy on our website.
In case of dispute, the laws of the Republic of Uganda shall apply.
Discussion Board Posting Policy
We welcome your participation in our Discussion Board (also referred to as the Bulletin Board). Our goal is to encourage discussion and civil debate on a variety of topics. In order to maintain a civil forum community, we require our users to follow a few basic guidelines:
You cannot upload to the web site, or distribute or otherwise publish through it, anything that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or abusive, or that otherwise violates any law of the Republic of Uganda.
The Discussion Board can be used only in a noncommercial manner. You cannot, without the express approval of New Vision, distribute or otherwise publish material containing any solicitation of funds, advertising or solicitation of goods or services.
While we do not and cannot review every message posted in the Forums and are not responsible for the content of these messages, we reserve the right to delete, move, or edit messages that we deem abusive, defamatory, obscene, in violation of copyright or trademark laws, or otherwise unacceptable. We reserve the right to remove the posting privileges of users who violate these standards of forum behavior at any time.
The New Vision will not accept liability for any legal action arising out of a message posted to our Discussion Board, and will pass liability on to the e-mail address of the person who posted it.
