A 16-year-old girl was arrested by the Police on Thursday as she tried to dump the body of her one-week baby at the Mayor’s Garden in Entebbe.

The school children, who found Lukiya Nabuuma trying to throw the body informed a nearby shopkeeper who later alerted the area LCs and the Police.

According to the LCs, the girl disembarked from a taxi at Entebbe SS with a bundle wrapped in a baby shawl. The officer at the station, Stanley Owor, said investigations are underway to establish the cause of the baby’s death.
