EVERY February 6, Kampala’s nightlife used to boom with reggae music. But two years back the main organisers ran out of steam.

This Saturday, Kampala resumes Bob Marley’s 65th birthday celebrations in various places. The Blood Brothers, Uganda’s longest surviving reggae band, has organised the ‘Come Catch A Fire concert’ at Studio Bukasa in Muyenga.

The concert, which starts at 8:00pm, will feature local artistes singing Bob Marley covers with the band playing.
Ras B. Ssali will play reggae music in Angenoir Discothèque while Club Pa Lui in Ntinda will also have a Bob Marley special on that day.

For all Bob Marley fans, look back to the lyrics of your favourite songs and do not forget those Jamaican colours.

Meanwhile, the House of Rastafari Community will hold their own celebration at One Love Beach, Busabala from 12:00pm till dawn free of charge.
