It happens once every year. Uganda’s top crop artistes and their fans get together to wine, dine and party. It is called the City Beat All-Stars party and this year’s version is on next Wednesday at Silk Lounge.

Forty of Uganda’s top artistes will mingle with 30 City Beat magazine winners at an exclusive party at 7pm.

The Club Beer-sponsored party will go a great way in clearing the January Party drought we are currently wallowing in.

Drinking, eating and dancing aside, the lucky winners will be the first lot to witness performances and watch videos of new songs of top artistes. Bobi Wine will unveil his Kikomando, as will Ragga Dee (Calypso), Bebe Cool (In prison for no reason). Other artistes to perform include Iryn Namubiru, Julianna Kanyomozi and Jose Chameleone.

They City Beat All-Stars party will break the record as one party where the artistes have outnumbered the fans.

A record 40 star personalities in the entertainment industry have been drafted to meet their fans and get to know what they really think about them.

City Beat editor Kalungi Kabuye says: “This year’s All-Stars gig is a bigger affair than last year’s maiden party. The lucky fans will enjoy the biggest, engaging and most exclusive party, where they will meet the biggest artistes in Uganda, fraternise and win some autographed memorabilia ”
Fans will also win T-shirts, caps and bandanas from the sponsors, Club Beer.
