MUKONO

A man’s attempts to make a quick buck backfired when the passengers he had given a lift refused to pay him.

Jacob said he was on his way to Kampala from Mbale, when he picked up four men along the way who were going to Mukono.

He said they agreed to part with sh7,000 each for the journey. However, on reaching Mukono, they refused to pay the money, claiming that Jacob’s car was not authorised to carry passengers.

They dared him to take them to the Police. After a hot exchange of words, he gave up on the money and drove away.
