Muhangi to import Evo 9
After sorting out his woes with his Buganda bus park colleagues and building his own bus park, Charles Muhangi recently announced that he would return to motor racing with a bang. He imported a Subaru N12 early this year, but unfortunately it crashed during the Festino City Rally last month. Now, we hear, the rally ace is bringing in a Mitsubishi Evolution 9 at a whopping $56,000 (about sh112m) for the African Rally Championship.
Did Mondo copy Creflo Dollar?
You probably know Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha, a soldier turned pastor, whose Empowerment Christian Centre Church, is located on Kirumira Towers. Well, he has designed a flamboyant website, www.mugisha.org, which is supposed to be the official website of the church. But the material in the confession section is similar to that of Creflo Dollar Ministries. The website also has a message that reads: “I am the life of God extended to the earth in the wrappings of human flesh to fulfil a divine mandate within a time-frame. In worship, I reconnect with my origin. In prophecy, I reach out to my destiny. I am, therefore, both a worshiper and the worship.†Did you know we had a god in our midst?
Status issues in crane’s camp
The Cranes are raring to go and tear Angolans to pieces. But wait, did someone talk about teamwork in football? Well, there is news from the training camp that local players are very uncomfortable with the moneyed guys like David Obua (Hearts FC, Scotland) and Ibrahim Sekagya (Salzburg, Austria). However, one player who preferrerd anonymity said it was just lack of self confidence, in reference to when Owen Kasule feared to sleep in the same room with Sekagya and pleaded to be given another roommate. At the camp, you can almost draw a clear line between the professionals who play outside the country and the local boys. Obua and Sekagya share a room and hang together most of the time. Other professionals include Andy Mwesigwa, Hassah Wasswa, Vincent Kayizi and Tony Mawejje. Bobby is still scratching his head over how to bring ‘Kololo’ and ‘Katanga’ to one bed.
