Grace Namara spent lots of cash in the NRM primaries. The wife of tycoon Godfrey Kirumira, was campaigning for the Lyantonde Woman MP seat.

Her husband mobilised fellow tycoons who stormed the constituency in about 40 posh vehicles including, Hummers, Mercedes Benzes and Land Cruisers.

Among those who campaigned for her were, Matovu Yiga, Dick Kizito, Francis Kakumba, John Sseromba, Mutaasa Kafeero, Tom Mugerwa, Eria Bugembe, Kizito Kabonge and Joseph Iga, all prominent businessmen. However, despite all that, Namara was disqualified after her academic papers were found to be fake.
