You might remember him as the man who threw a party for Liverpool fans when the English premiership club won the Champions League in 2005.

He is Robert Kakogoso, arguably the most famous rally driver from Mbarara after Charles Muhangi. But lately, Kakogoso, who was famous for his calls to radio sports shows, has gone silent. We found out why. Apparently, he is concentrating on his businesses that range from money-lending to real estate.

The latest and largest of his buildings is this multi-million structure still under construction on Buremba Road in Mbarara town. The building is expected to cost over sh2b and to compete with minister Bright Rwamirama’s building on the same road.
