  • DJ Michael’s beef with Rabadaba
DJ Michael is not happy with ‘Uga Ragga’ sensation Rabadaba for calling himself ‘Dancehall King’ in his new song titled ‘Olunyiriri’.

He was overheard telling friends recently: “Mwana ka chali ako simanyi oba kamanyi amakulu g’ekigambo ‘Dancehall’. Alabika takimanyi ndowooza kimunyumira kwogera.

Naye nze, e Uganda manyi nze ne Peter Miles ffe abayimba Dancehall Music.” (I doubt whether that fellow knows what ‘Dancehall’ means. I guess he just likes the way it sounds. Peter and I Miles are the only true Dancehall artistes in Uganda).

    Prof. Barya vists Bobi Wine
What would Makerere University Vice-Chancellor be doing in self-appointed Ghetto president, Bobi Wine’s office?

Well, that was the question on everyone’s lips who saw the MUK boss at Wine’s Bukoto office recently. As it turned out, Barya, who spent at least 20 minutes in Wine’s office, had gone to strike a deal: he wanted Bobi to perform at a freshers’ ball slated for later this month. We don’t know how much they agreed upon, but judging by the smile on the professor’s face, all must have gone well.

    Wafagio tantalise Sudanese
Recently, Wafagio, the sexy all-girl singing quartet, visited Nimule town, in Southern Sudan, on their Wafagio Mukidongo tour.

They were received warmly but a few minutes into their performance at Equatorial Pub, hell broke loose. Over 15 male fans with raging testosterone stormed the stage and started caressing them.

Freaked out, the girls ran off stage. The show was stopped for about 40 minutes as the military was called in to restore sanity.

    Sekyewa’s brush with death
Eagles’ Production band member Charles Sekyewa and singer Queen Florence survived an accident at Maganjo on Bombo Road, when a truck rammed into their vehicle.

The car was badly damaged, but no one was injured. A breakdown truck towed their car away.

    Aziz Azion opens own studio
Singer Aziz Azion must be thanking the gods for the day he quit playing musical instruments in Jeckaki band and made a career behind the microphone as a singer.

His singing career must be raking in quite a fortune. Aziz has opened up a well-furnished studio at his Makindye home.

All the machines in his one-week old studio are new and were imported from the UK. Studio 84 opened last week and Aziz will be working as its resident producer.

He, however, says he will not be producing his own music in the same studio but will continue working with top producers as he has always done. Way to go, Aziz.
