TO some extent no but it is also yes at times. When a woman is educated, she gets empowered and starts feeling that men are using her. But also, as a learned woman grows older, she realises or starts feeling that she can do without marriage and so keep away from men. On the other hand, if this woman gets highly educated before marriage, it may scare off potential husbands because they feel threatened by the woman’s level of education.

It depends on the person the lady is in love with. There are men who will financially support women going for higher education. But there are also those who will freak out and will not give any support to women. This man will think that as you get more educated, you will not be submissive to him. But if a lady is in love yet they want to upgrade, they should discuss the issue as a couple and reach a consensus.

It is easy to get caught up in academic pursuits at the expense of what we simply reduce to “normal”. It is good to excel at home before any other place. As for ladies, it depends on the man. If for a man higher education is a scary thing, that makes him insecure. Then probably it will ruin the relationship. But if it’s a plus and the man is not impatient and insecure, then the reverse is true.

If I have been in this relationship and my man is not insecure, I don’t see how the desire to upgrade will affect my marriage. But some women neglect their family responsibilities in pursuit of higher education. Those who go abroad may stay away for as long as three years, and this hurts a relationship. However, if one balances their academics and marital obligations, there is no problem.
