Kayunga gets
KAYUNGA – Students of Centenary Community College in Kayunga are to reconstruct houses for the needy residents whose houses were destroyed by the recent rains or razed down by the town council authorities due to their bad condition.
“Seven needy families in Kayunga town council and Busaana sub-counties are to benefit from the school’s offer,” the college principal, C.A. Omuye said at the launching of the construction work.

Varsity signs
MUKONO – Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono has signed a memorandum of understanding to enroll qualified students from Bishop Stuart University (BSU), Mbarara. The memorandum will enable UCU award degrees, diplomas and certificates to BSU students, UCU boss Stephen Noll said in a statement. BSU cannot yet award certificates.

Mwiri OBs
JINJA – The old boys of Busoga College Mwiri are moblising funds to have the school’s dilapidated structures renovated. The OBs in a meeting recently elected new leaders and laid a strategic plan to rejuvenate the academic standards. Dr. Fred Tusubira of Makerere University becomes the new president and Dr. Ogutu vice.
