  • STAY away from long naps during the day. Let your body cry for sleep.

    Do not guzzle coffee after dinner. Avoid alcohol and nicotine before bedtime.

    Don’t confuse your body with a great workout before bedtime or you will stay up.

    Try to keep the room dark so external lights don’t distract you from your sleep.

    Iron deficiency causes sleep trouble. Get a check-up for iron deficiency.

    Get a cosy warm bed, pillows and good mattress. Sleep in a ventilated and quiet room.

    Relax before bedtime. Listen to music, take a warm bath and herbal tea.

    Do not over-eat, before you sleep. Avoid leftovers. Eat two hours before you head to bed.

    Warm milk soothes the nerves and prepares the body for rest.

    Shelve your worries, or draw up a to-do list. It will help settle your mind.
