Dear Doctor,
I lost my baby last year at the hands of negligent midwives. I have developed hatred for medical personnel. What can I do to overcome this?

Dear Karunga
I am sorry for what you went through. It is normal for you to feel that way after facing such a tragic loss. But you cannot develop hatred for all medical personnel because of that experience.
A number of factors like late intervention could have caused the death of your child and made you think it was the midwives. If you plan to deliver again, you will need a skilled medical attendant by your side.
Did they tell you what exactly your baby died of? That is what you should put in mind to avoid a similar occurrence. Antenatal visits help with timely intervention should there be a problem during delivery.
