Today is November 12. “So what?” you wonder. The craziness of Christmas is just beginning to get hot. You must be walking around like a headless chicken wondering what to wear to the various end-of-year parties. Most importantly, what will you wear on Christmas Day.

Getting a new outfit is a must for most women, whether they can afford it or not. You’d rather go without chicken but have a new dress on.

Well sister, time is running out. If you intend to have your outfit made, buy your fabric today and take it to the tailor straight away. Most tailors are up to their eyeballs in Christmas orders, not to mention Christmas weddings.

Just to make your job easier, here are a few styles you can choose from. It is perfectly ok for you to pick a neckline from one outfit, sleeves from another and hemline from another too. You may want to creatively use the kikoyi for a totally new look. What about mixing different fabrics to create a unique and feminine look just like Fashion Hut did at a recent fashion show in aid of destitute children?

Alternatively, try out a modern sari from 4Zee boutique or buy unique fabrics from Samaki. As you shop, I am sure you will want to buy something different for your little girl too. For good results, try out tailors who make bridal wear, as they tend to be more creative with children’s clothes.

If you are not good at handling stress, then forget having your outfit made. Go for ready-made clothes because you will save yourself and the tailor a lot of grief.

There are many shopping centres in town catering for different kinds of budgets. The further downtown you go, the cheaper the clothes. Remember to shop wisely and not to overspend, as January is a very dry and demanding month financially.

There is a huge amount of choice out there just go on and search for it. I hope these ideas will be of help to you.
