  • Buturo the fighter
Those rejoicing over ethics minister, Dr. Nsaba Buturo’s political woes may have danced a little too early. According to him, he was cheated and the battle is far from over because he will petition and fight on to ensure he gets justice. The man says: “I am not beaten and I am not going to be beaten. Next year this time I will be here. Mark my words." Way to go man.

    Irresistible Seya
If you did not know what women admire in men, get a lecture from Kampala Mayor Nasser Sebaggala. On Sunday he was hosted on Bukedde TV's Omuntu wa Bantu programme and when the producer asked him why many people described him as a person who is so close to women, Sebaggala answered: “I believe women by nature would not like to be close to a shabby or stinking person.” The ever smart Seya said, implying he was such an admirable person whom women could not resist.

    PAC tremors
Appearing before the parliamentary public accounts committee (PAC) recently, defence permanent secretary Rosette Byengoma first looked confident. However, when the committee began to quiz her about financial accountabilities in the ministry, she looked shaken. She then asked for time to return to the ministry to check the files. “Are you tired or you want us to continue,” asked MP Nandala Mafabi seeing that Byengoma looked exhausted. Byengoma pulled out a handkerchief to blow her nose, wipe her eyes and sweat from the forehead. “No I want to finish this today,” she responded.

    Sharp Biraahwa
Many MPs participating in elections complain of facing arrests and harassment by the Police. The MP of Buliisa County in Buliisa, Steven Mukitale Biraahwa, said his opponents hatched a plan to have him arrested so that he could miss the National Resistance Movement party primary elections. But he managed to outwit them. He said the opponents connived with companies prospecting for oil to buy his voters. He claimed that sacks of money were used.
