    to KIU open
    Volleyball
    Kampala International University will host the second edition of the institution’s volleyball open due April 10-11 at the Kansanga based campus. All top flight league sides have confirmed participation in the event set to start after the launch of the national league. An official Denis Ochan, said the event at KIU will enable teams to test their fitness ahead of the league.

    Ayella in Africa juniors meet Tennis
    Junior tennis players Simon Ayella and Lydia Ndagire are in a select team due to compete in the Africa Championship scheduled for March 26-April 14 in Nigeria. The Ugandans were picked after an impressive display at the ITF/CAT East Africa Zonal championships held in Nairobi, January. The select team also has Sudan’s Adams Samah, Ethiopia’s Getu Meron together with Hassan Ndanisiniya, Hamadi Kagoma, Guy-Orly Kunda and Stansiana Guy-Orly of Burundi.

    Woodball body to name team
    Woodball
    A team to the world university woodball championship will be picked at the second Kyambogo Open this weekend. Fifty players are expected from Ndejje University, Nkumba, Makerere and hosts Kyambogo University.
    UWbF secretary Godwin Senyondo, said the tournament will have singles, doubles and team games.
