UGANDA Golf Union (UGU) has cleared three-time national champion Vincent Byamukama to turn professional. UGU secretary Johnson Omollo confirmed that Byamukama had sought to end his amateur career and his request has been granted.

“We have no problem with Byamukama quitting amateur. We decided to let him move on but he is yet to collect his letter. We wish him all the best in his professional career,” Omollo said.

Uganda Professional Golfers Association had asked Byamukama to seek clearance from UGU before he is admitted.
