KAMPALA Junior Team (KJT) walked away with the U-14 and U-12 trophies in the Ligi International tournament that ended in Nairobi yesterday.

KJT had a chance to register a hat-trick against compatriots Uganda Junior League (UJL) team but the two sides were disqualified in the U-10 event because of an anomaly.

KJT retained the U-14 trophy they won in 2006 when they edged favourites Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) 1-0.

The Kampala side then beat Kenyan side Futures 7-0 in the U-12 final.

The UJL team partly sponsored by Air Uganda settled for a Plate and Bowl in the annual event.
