EDGAR Watson has vowed to change the trend of football officiation in the country as soon as he qualifies as a referee.

Watson, the FUFA national teams coordinator, revealed this yesterday during a referees’ beginners course currently taking place at Kampala Pentecostal Church (KPC) in Ntinda, Nakawa Division.

The course is sponsored by KPC North and organised by Nakawa District Football Association in conjuction with FUFA. It has attracted 50 participants including eight women.

“I was angered by the Senegalese referee who denied the Cranes a would be equaliser in a Nations Cup qualifier in Nigeria last month.

Let me take on refereeing and I change the trend of the game,” Watson promised, citing FIFA referee Mohammed Sseggonga, also a former football player.
