ACHOLI Inn, a popular Hotel in Gulu district is busy constructing a sports centre at its eastern annex.

The centre shall accommodate a modern adult and children swimming pool next to a renovated house that accommodates indoor games including those for bodybuilding equipment.

Colonel Charles Otema Awany, the UPDF intelligence officer for northern Uganda who is the proprietor of the hotel, last week said the work on the sh100m project would be completed in two months.

“The centre will be the biggest facility according to northern Uganda standards. No big hotel in northern Uganda, Gulu in particular has a sports centre with a swimming pool the size being constructed and having another provision for most indoor games,” Col Awany said.

Acholi Inn would be the second after Boma Apartments in Kitgum Town Council that belongs to the Lamwo MP, Hillary Onek to have a swimming pool.

Boma however does not provide for indoor games and a sports centre in particular.
