THE Uganda Commercial Aloe Farmers Association have been certified by the Texas-based Aloe Vera Science Council to start exporting the product.

The project director, Ali Ssesanga, who returned from a working visit to the US recently, said on Wednesday at their Rashid Khamis Road offices in Old Kampala, “Th agreement will see us procuring machinery to manufacture finished products. The machine will arrive within a month.”

He said the multi-million-dollar machine would process over eight tonnes of Aloe Vera daily.

He said the certificate would benefit farmers and the Government in terms of export revenue.

“The task will be on us to produce the required export,” Ssesanga said.
