  • WAKISO - Norway-based Ugandan has petitioned the High Court seeking to evict the Seventh Day Adventist Church from his land at Kireka.

Jacob Mutabaazi, who sued the church jointly with Pastor Dan Namaswala, also alleges that the defendants exhumed his late father’s remains and built a church on his land without his consent.

Mutabaazi filed his case on March 3, 2009 in the Nakawa High Court through Murungi, Kairu and Company Advocates. He is also seeking several other declarations and orders.

The High Court has since asked the accused to file a defence within 15 days. By last Friday, however, the defendants had not yet complied. The disputed property is on Block 232 Plot 814 in Kireka.
