MAKERERE University protects its students within its premises and affiliated hostels. Is Makerere to blame for the private hostels and the safety they offer? I share my grief with the families that have lost their loved ones.

I would like to inform the former minister for ethics and integrity, Miria Matembe, that women dance wearing dry banana leaves not because they are nightdancers but because it is a cultural norm. It is therefore not right or fair to impute that dry banana leaves are associated with witchcraft.
