EDITOR—I attended one of the campaign rallies at Makerere University in Mary Stuart Hall. The language the so-called intellectuals used was extremely vulgar. I wonder whether there is a correlation between intellectualism and obscenity. I believe morality, politics and intellectualism are inseparable.

I request my fellow students to abhor language that depicts Makerere as an intellectual giant but a moral orphan.
