  • Speaker for girl-education
    MUKONO - The Speaker of Parliament, Edward Sekandi, has advised parents and schools to promote girl-child education. He said it would contribute to nation building and transformation of society. Sekandi said giving girls a strong foundation in primary education would help them establish strong careers and contribute to national development. He was speaking on Sunday at St. Theresa Namagunga Boarding Primary School, during the celebrations to mark 75 years of the school’s existence.

    Ministry starts ICT project

    MITYANA - The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Industry has started an ICT project that will support traders and farmers to market their products. The Rural Information Systems project aims at providing producers, traders and farmers with information on markets and availability of commodities.
